Recently featured in Grazia Bulgaria as no. 2 in their top 10 hot stories, British henna artist, Pavan, is the Guinness World Record Holder for being the fastest in her trade. In just one hour she painted a staggering 314 armbands – where each design had to be different from the other – beating the previous record by a mind-blowing 100 armbands!
Despite fast becoming something of a celebrity herself, Pavan remains deeply rooted and down to earth, and she will not compromise on the quality and attention given to her clients. This
dedication has earned Pavan a place as one of the leading henna artists in the UK.
At just 24-years-old, Pavan has worked with celebrities and well-known names such as Selfridges, Sky, STAR TV and the BBC on various high-profile projects. Other recent endeavors include work with singer/actress/dancer Preeya Kalidas; recording artists, the Sugababes; and actress/ singer/model, Sofia Hayatt.
A self-taught henna artist, a great part of Pavan’s appeal is that she not only keeps up to date with the latest design trends, she creates them. Having made her mark in Europe, Pavan is eager
to bring her art to a new audience in North America.
In January 2010, Pavan unveiled her own product line, Pavan Henna Designs, that will include henna powder, diamantes and a range of glitters, which will be retailed online and in select salons nationally.
Pavan also recreates her extraordinary henna designs on scarves and shawls. Each original design is carefully hand-woven to create a distinctive and stylish look, also to be retailed nationally.
Finally, Pavan extends her art to canvas painting as well. Painting on commission, her bespoke artwork combines an individual contemporary statement with ethnic charm.
